Evaluation questions - Question 4

Throughout the production of my music video I’ve had a variety of benefits come from some of the technologies I’ve used but also had a few difficulties. One technological piece that benefited my production was YouTube. The use of YouTube in my work was crucial for me to get a good understanding of both music videos but also in research for what song to make my music video around. I used this mostly in my research rather than the production of the music video. This can be seen in my ‘music video analysis’ where I evaluated 3 different music videos.

Another beneficial use of technology I experienced was through the use of websites like reddit. I also used Pintrest in the research area and this to research on costumes and other general codes and conventions to make my video fitting to the indie-rock genre. Pintrest was especially useful for costumes as although I already had a strong understanding on the genre - I was hesitant on some of costumes I had in mind but pintrest definitely ruled some options out and approves of others.

However one piece of technology I have had difficulty with is prezzi. Last year I found Prezzi extremely useful but this year I had a few issues where I produced some work on the website and saved my work until I then returned to publish my work on blogger for my work to not be on the website anymore.



Finally one piece of technology I’ve found useful in evaluation section of my work is blogger. I’ve found blogger very easy to use but also very helpful in linking in videos, photos or any other pieces of work to put on my blogger page.
